Whale of a Waggle 2013

Whale of a Waggle Fundraising Walk
Saturday 28 September 2013
Hermanus

Residents of Hermanus are known for being a dog loving community. You see people walking their dogs in the streets and on the beach and many a car is seen carrying a four legged passenger or even passengers!

Hermanus is one of the towns where Pets as Therapy (PAT) has made significant inroads. In Hermanus we have four facilities registered with PAT where volunteers visit with their dogs. These are SOFCA, Kidbrooke Health Care Centre, Onrus Manor Health Care Centre and Anima Children’s Therapy Centre. We also run a weekly library activity programme where grade R’s work with therapy dogs to learn their alphabet and various life skills.

This is the second year that Royal Canin has generously sponsored Whale of a Waggle Walk in Hermanus and we had lots of fun last year. This year we hope to draw many entries both locally and from out of town dog owners. Please come and support us for this worthy cause in our beautiful town and nationally!

When:                 Saturday 28 September 2013

Time:                  10h00 (registration from 08h00)
Where:               Hermanus Cricket Grounds
                             (next to organic market)

Entry fee is R30 for adults, R15 for children under 12.

The application form can be downloaded from here.
